The building upgrade of the High School- Lyceum Milos, total expenditure 1,1 million. euro, financed by European resources of the Region
In the context of interventions aimed at upgrading school infrastructure in the islands of the South Aegean, by exploiting the funding opportunities provided by the European funds, The Regional Governor George Chatzimarkos signed the decision to amend the Act "Upgrade and Static Reinforcement of buildings of the school complex Gymnasium - Lyceum of Milos"………..
The modification consists in increasing the initial budget of the project, from 791.788,00 EUR 1.102.988,00 euro, in order to add a subproject, with a corresponding update of the timetable for its completion, at 31/12/2022.
The project concerns the static reinforcement and upgrade works in the complex of eight buildings located in the area of Plaka, which houses the Gymnasium and Lyceum of Milos. Its aim is to overcome the problems of safety and functionality of the school and to ensure its accessibility in accordance with modern requirements..
Eligible public expenditure is 931.884,06 euro. The other expenses related to the maintenance works of the school complex, will be covered by own resources of the Municipality of Milos, as they are ineligible for co-financing.
A decision of the Region of South Aegean, George Hadjimarcou, the play "Upgrading and Statics buildings Strengthening school Gymnasium complex - School Milos", has been incorporated and funded by the Operational Program "Southern Aegean Sea 2014 – 2020», in the Priority Axis "Improvement of basic infrastructure", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and the Greek State, under the NSRF 2014 – 2020.
