According to the new security measures of the Ministry of Shipping, all ship passengers are required to have them with them:
- The ferry ticket, in printed or electronic form

The special health declaration questionnaire must be carried by all passengers traveling over 30 thin, while those interested can obtain it from travel agencies, the shipping companies but also the official website of the Ministry of Shipping.

Boarding the ship is not allowed in individuals detected with a temperature above 37,8O C, as well as those who have symptoms compatible with the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), if the replies to the health declaration form indicate that they have come into contact with a person with COVID-19 infection and if prospective passengers refuse to use a mask on board.
The maximum number of passengers allowed

For ships that do not have cabins, the allowed availability is equal to 50% of the total number of passengers specified in the ship's safety certificate, for both outdoor and indoor areas.
For ships with cabins, the total number of passengers allowed is equal to 55% of the maximum number allowed laying down the ship's safety certificate and the applicable legislation on indoor and outdoor areas.
OR cabin use done by one person exclusively, unless it is:
a) family (allowed up to 4 people in the same cabin – first or second degree relatives),
b) Disabled (allowed to travel with their companion in the cabin).
Passenger guides and questionnaires for ferry travel
In the context of special guidelines for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 cases, the passengers of the ferry that make the longest voyage 30 thin, they must complete a special questionnaire before boarding the ship.
A similar questionnaire should be completed by both passengers, as well as crew members, of ships operating internationally (Greece - Italy).
These questionnaires can be obtained either from travel agencies, either in the shipping companies themselves, or they can download them from the official website of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy (www.ynanp.gr) or at the end of the article.

In case of finding passengers who, based on the questionnaire, whether they have symptoms, whether they have been exposed to a COVID-19 patient in any of the ways described in the latter 14 days, boarding will not be allowed.
The questionnaire will be kept with the care of the shipowner company for two months from the day of its receipt in accordance with the provisions of the current legislation on personal data protection.(GDPR).
Moreover, The Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy provides detailed instructions for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 cases on passenger and passenger-vehicle ferries that perform maritime transport as well as international ships under the Greek flag.
