The increased course of the coronavirus in our country, as well as the reduction in the average age of being infected with the virus, have worried infectious disease specialists…..
Strong outbreak of the pandemic
Speaking to MEGA's main news bulletin, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Pathology at the University of Patras, Charalambos Gogos, he mentioned that the country "is in a strong pandemic outbreak".
Mr.. Gogos stressed that most cases of the virus, in the phase we are going through, are asymptomatic and have resulted from the increased investigation being done, as more tests are performed.
"The dynamics of the number raises a very serious issue of risk and a 'red line' for action".
Alarm bell for young people
Referring to younger people who get sick, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Pathology at the University of Patras, stated that most are asymptomatic and transmit the virus more easily.
He stressed that they should protect themselves, but also those around them, as they are not "invulnerable to the virus", while he described as "funny things" what is said about scenarios and conspiracies for the coronavirus.
"We do not yet know what this disease is like. It needs a lot of attention from young people, is the 'spearhead' for the future of the epidemic ".
