The extension to 30 April 2021 the obligation to apply the extraordinary and temporary measures regarding the organization of the place and time of work throughout the Territory, provides for a Joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) of the Ministries of Finance, working, Development and Investment and Health…………
Specifically, for overriding reasons to protect public health against coronavirus COVID-19, extended until 30 April 2021 the following rules regarding the organization of place and time of work:
1.a) Employers-companies based or having a branch in any regional unit of the country, are required by 30/04/2021 apply the system of remote work provision to their employees – in which cases their work can be provided by this system – at a rate 50% on the total number of these employees.
b) For proper observance, they must announce in advance, before starting work, in the Information System "ERGANI" of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs his distance work 50% of their employees, to whom this measure may apply, by filling in the Form 4.1 "Remote working statement – Special Purpose Form "of par. 2 of the article 4 from 11.3.2020 Legislative act (Α΄ 55), which was ratified by Article 2 of Law. 4682/2020 (Α΄ 76).
c) In case of violation of the above obligation, fined 3.000 euros to the company-employer, following a relevant audit by the Labor Inspection Body of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
2. The working hours of employees in companies-employers of the private sector, established or having a branch in any regional unit of the country, must be adjusted for April, at its beginning and end, in such a way that every half hour and within two hours the employees arrive and leave in relation to the beginning and the end respectively of their schedule.
For the period of application of the present, the obligation of the employer to register in the Information System "ERGANI" of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs the changes or modifications of the schedule is suspended.

In each case, the provisions of p.d. continue to apply. 88/1999 (Α΄ 94), as well as the obligation of the employer to announce in advance the other changes or modifications of the working time or the organization of the working time, as well as overtime and legal overtime work, before their realization, in the Information System "ERGANI" of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The above adjustment of the employees' hours does not change the type of employment contract of these employees.
Alongside, with a separate JMC of the Ministries of Finance, Labor and Health, extended, until April 30th 2021, the employer's ability to determine by decision that the job, provided by the employee at the place of work provided by the individual contract, will be carried out with the system of remote work, which was instituted as an extraordinary and temporary measure in case a) par. 2 of the article 4 from 11.03.2020 PNP "Urgent measures to address the negative consequences of the occurrence of coronavirus COVID-19 and the need to limit its spread" (A’ 55), as ratified and in force, taking into account the course of the phenomenon.
