Greece, based on European protocols, issued its own National Directives. so Greece is ready to receive Cruise Ships. In fact, today the competent committee is meeting to determine the health protocols in our ports as well.. There is interest from specific companies to start cruises in Greece, this is estimated to happen after 20 August.
The Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Giannis Plakiotakis, speaking to ET-1 on the subject of the cruise, said that our country based on and health protocols for passengers and crews of cruise ships,…….. has issued its own national guidelines and is ready to receive cruise ships. Mr.. Plakiotakis said that there is interest from certain foreign companies to start cruises in Greece, however he estimated that this can be done after 20 August.
The Minister of Shipping stressed that the cruise is an international activity worldwide and is facing serious problems due to the coronavirus, while clarifying that it is is a market sector that always depends on the market.
He added, however, that in any case Greece is ready in terms of health protocols to welcome cruise ships..
It is recalled that today the competent committee of infectious disease specialists meets to determine the sanitary protocols for the ports, in order to be able to approach them, if they want it, cruise ships with passengers.
