Lady Byrd Cafe in the Eco Park neighborhood was forced to close, the pandemic has just begun in March.
When the American authorities gave the green light for the reopening of the restaurants outside, owner Misty Mansouri was ready, having already turned the parking lot of her store into a garden, full of flowers, herbs and plants, but also private greenhouses.
Her investment paid off, as the governor of California once again banned meals inside stores, in most of the state, after the cases of the new colonist broke the records one after the other and the hospitalizations increased by 50% within two weeks.
Mansouri explains that these places, that have windows to allow air circulation, cleaned and disinfected, after each use, while complying with the guidelines issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
