Digital Policy, Communications and Media Minister Nikos Pappas highlighted the prospects for joint growth and prosperity in a new era of cooperation between Greece, Egypt and Cyprus while .....  speaking at the opening of the international technology fair "Cairo ICT 2018" on Sunday. "Greece, Egypt and Cyprus are becoming international hubs for innovation, trade and energy," Pappas said, noting that this new era of cooperation and prosperity over a wide range of areas was ushered in by the leaders of the three countries, "on the basis of international law and for the benefit of much-desired stability." He stressed that digital technologies will be the driving force in the evolution of the world's economies and societies in coming years and that this digital future "must be made economically affordable and accessible to everyone" in order to unlock the opportunities for growth in the future. He also referred to Greece's presence at this year's ICT fair, noting that the country could not be absent given the close and friendly ties with Egypt and the opportunity it provided to promote Greece's new image as a country that combined bright minds, innovative ideas and a high level of skill in the ICT sector.
